Master Participation Agreement

1. Voluntary Participation & Scope

I apply to participate in martial arts training, open mats, randori, seminars, digital platforms (including the RKK Discord server and official communication channels), and related activities organized by Rurō Kyōei Kai ("RKK") at independent third-party facilities ("Host Dojos") or online throughout this calendar year.

2. Assumption of Inherent Risks

I recognize that Judo, grappling, and martial arts training carry severe risks of injury including sprains, fractures, concussions, paralysis, illness, or death. I voluntarily assume all such risks for myself or the minor for whom I sign.

3. Dual Release of Liability & Indemnification

I release, waive, and forever discharge RKK and every Host Dojo, including their owners, instructors, staff, volunteers, agents, and landlords, from any and all claims, demands, or liabilities arising from personal injury, property loss, or wrongful death to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4. Code of Conduct: Mat Safety & Facility Respect

Grounded in the principle of Jita Kyōei (自他共栄 — Mutual Prosperity), I agree to:

• Prioritize the safety of training partners over personal ego, tapping early and respecting taps immediately.
• Obey all rules of the Host Dojo, maintain exemplary personal hygiene and clean gear, and treat all facilities with care.
• Refrain from "dojo storming," unsanctioned challenges, gym disparagement, or using RKK events for predatory student recruitment/poaching.
• Accept immediate expulsion from any physical session or event for recklessness or misconduct without refund or recourse.

5. Digital Community Standards (Discord & Online Platforms)

As a member of the RKK digital community (Discord, forums, and social channels), I agree to uphold the following standards:

• Respect & Civility: Maintain constructive, respectful communication. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, trolling, personal attacks, or disruptive behavior are strictly prohibited.
• Non-Political / Neutral Space: Keep discourse centered on martial arts practice, philosophy, event coordination, and community support.
• Privacy & Security: Respect member privacy. Doxxing, sharing private conversations without consent, or posting unauthorized advertisements/spam will result in an immediate and permanent ban.
• Disciplinary Action: RKK administrators reserve the right to moderate, mute, or ban any user who violates these digital standards or undermines community safety.

6. Property Damage & Financial Liability

I accept sole financial responsibility for any damage to Host Dojo facilities, equipment, or grounds caused by my intentional actions, recklessness, gross negligence, or failure to follow host rules, and agree to reimburse all repair or replacement costs within 30 days of written notice.

7. Medical Responsibility & Emergency Authorization

RKK does not provide organizational medical insurance. I affirm that I have adequate personal health coverage or assume 100% of all medical, transportation, and emergency treatment costs. In the event of an emergency where I am incapacitated, I authorize RKK representatives or Host Dojo staff to secure necessary medical care at my sole expense.

8. Media & Image Consent

I acknowledge that photography, video recording, and audio may be captured during RKK events for educational content, technique analysis, and archival display across RKK platforms (website, Discord, YouTube, and Instagram). I grant RKK permission to use such media without financial compensation.

9. Per-Event Check-In Binding

For each in-person event I attend, I will complete the required check-in (via QR code portal or physical sign-in) to bind this Master Waiver to the specific Host Dojo and date of that session.
